Star anise pairs well with allspice, cloves, nutmeg, ginger, and garlic. Add star anise to cakes, cookies, and fruits like rhubarb, plums, and dates. It's even a great additive to chocolate, and if you're wanting to add an extra kick to your chocolate milk (yes please!), add a little star anise.
